Overview

This programme is designed for children aged 4–5 who are curious about music but not yet ready for formal instrument tuition. Sessions are short, playful, and led by the child's natural energy. No prior musical experience is needed — from either child or parent.

Course content

Rhythm & pulse

Body percussion, clapping games, and moving to a beat

Singing games

Call and response, pitch matching, nursery rhyme exploration

Percussion play

Hands-on exploration of drums, shakers, and xylophones

Music & movement

Creative movement, freeze games, and expressive listening

Requirements

  • No prior musical experience required

  • Suitable for ages 4–5 years

  • Comfortable clothing for movement activities

  • A grown-up is welcome (and encouraged) to join for the first session

Lesson structure

Each lesson is 30 minutes long, providing focused and effective learning sessions. We understand that schedules can vary, so we offer flexible lesson plans:
